About Us

I first moved to Squamish in December of 1999 and have lived here since.  Better Computing sprang up almost by accident - acquaintences heard I was good with solving computer problems and my name got around town fast.  At that time there were no computer stores and few people you could go to locally for help.

I turned this into a part time business as Brad Hodge Computer Services in early 2000.  Two years later our clientele had grown enough to go full time, I chose the name Socket Computer Source, thinking

about the part of the computer's motherboard the CPU plugs into.  

In 2006, we renamed to Better Computing and have been such ever since.  Around that time we began to gain a reputation for high quality services to business.  Today our client roster includes everything from medical clinics to car dealerships, accounting firms to law firms, forestry and industry.  Many of these clients have been with us for over a decade plus.

I live right here in sunny(ish) Brackendale.  My three daughters were born and raised here.  Almost every penny I earn goes back into our local economy.  I have also had a stint as a local newspaper columnist, and actively volunteer with the Squamish Lions.  I love our beautiful home and do my best always to give back.  I even ran for Squamish Council in 2011 and 2014!
